New AJA ioHD and Kona series drivers - Leopard enhancements

AJA-IOHD.png

New AJA ioHD and Kona series drivers, Sonnet Fusion F2 Raid for ioHD systems.  Last week, AJA shipped new drivers for both the Kona and ioHD series and Sonnet released the F2 mobile array. EAR has stock on the ioHD - subject to change. Contact one of our product specialists for pricing and system related questions.

AJA releases 5.1 IoHD driver.  This is the sequel to ioHD 1.1 driver as AJA is changing version numbers to match the Kona line.

The software version number of the Io HD release has been changed to “5.1” to better communicate its parity with the KONA software releases issued now and in the future. Both product lines have similar underlying software and many features will often be updated at the same time in the future.

Io HD New Features
When utilizing an inexpensive HDMI to DVI cable adapter, clients can now output either DVI or HDMI protocol on the HDMI output.  This is a great development since the 23” cinema display can more easily be used with the ioHD. (Note: output from the HDMI connector requires use of an HDMI to DVI cable adapter.  I bought a few of these adapters for travel demo, they are approximately $19)

Io HD Resolved Issues and Improvements
Edit to tape frame accuracy improved in all interlaced formats.
Improved 10-bit RGB display operation in Motion and After Effects.
Saving Io HD Control Panel presets no longer requires Administrator privileges.
Fixed a problem that could cause the Io HD to get out of sync when switching between Final Cut and Motion.

Please thoroughly read the Release Notes prior to install.  The Io HD v5.1 software can be found here:
