APA Industry Happy Hour
Friday, March 28, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Join us for some Happy Hour fun on your way over to the Arizona Black Film Showcase, taking place March 27-30 at the AMC theatres at the Arizona Center !
Start your Friday evening off by joining APA at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, in the Arizona Center near the really cool fountain, then head around the corner and go and see some great films! What a perfect night for industry professionals & others to enjoy our creative and fun business.

About the instructor: Michael Bofshever will address such topics as the Foundation to Having a Career, Audition Know How, Life on Set, Agents and Managers, as well as share stories from his recently published book Your Face Looks Familiar.....How To Get Ahead as a Working Actor. Questions will also be taken from the audience.
Michael has spoken on this topic for the Screen Actors Guild Foundation in both New York and Los Angeles on a recurring basis; SAG branch offices in Chicago , Miami , Boston , Orlando , Las Vegas , San Diego and the AFTRA branch in Los Angeles . In addition he has conducted his seminar at the American Film Institute, American Academy of Dramatic Arts: NY, The Players Academy: LA, Rice University, Emory University, Washington University St. Louis, UCLA, Long Beach State, University of Wisconsin, University of Miami, UNLV, the Idaho Institute of Film & Television, The Interlochen Center for the Arts, and the Michael Howard Studios NY. A highly regarded acting teacher, Michael is recognized as "one of the finest acting teachers in Los Angeles …" according to The Actor's Guide to Qualified Acting Coaches: Los Angeles. He has taught a scene study and exercise class for seventeen years in Los Angeles as well as at UCLA Extension, The Michael Howard Studio and Theatre for the Forgotten.
An accomplished actor, Mr. Bofshever holds a BFA in acting from Boston University College of Fine Arts. A selected list of his film credits includes the critically acclaimed United 93, Certifiably Jonathan (Winters), Dirty Deeds, Bruce Almighty, Crime of the Century, The Fan and A Low Down Dirty Shame. His television credits includes being a series regular on The Jersey (64 episodes the Disney Channel), and recurring roles on The Shield, 24, NYPD Blue, The Practice. A partial list of guest star appearances includes Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, CSI, The West Wing, JAG, The Agency, The Brotherhood of Poland NH, Six Feet Under, Millenium, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, Walker Texas Ranger, Seventh Heaven, Star Trek TNG.
A founding member of the Actors Producing Company in New York , Michael has made appearances Off and Off-Off Bway, regional and summer stock theatres. Some of his favorite roles have been the Murderer in Al Pacino's Richard III for The Theatre Company of Boston , Jake in Jules Feiffer's Grownups, the Gunner in Shaw’s Misalliance. Mr. Bofshever is known by television viewing audiences for the hundreds of commercials he has appeared in over twenty-five years in the business. Mr. Bofshever’s directing credits includes productions of new work by such playwrights as Jules Selbo, Francis Solomita, Jerry Stubblefield, and Quincy Long in both New York and Los Angeles .
