CMOS Camera distortion? - Apple FCP User Group July 31st

CMOS Cameras - Facts & Fiction
There's been a lot of talk of late about "rolling shutter artifacts"
with the new generation of cameras with CMOS sensors. We'll test them out ourselves and see what
all the fuss is about.
Steve Wargo of Show-N-Tell Productions has generously
offered his Sony PMW EX-1 camera for us to put through it's paces. We'll test it in handheld, with
whip-pans, strobe lights, run it through test charts and keying!

Mitch Ives of Insight Productions will be bringing his Macbook Pro with
the Primatte Keyer and a portable greenscreen for us to test the keying potential of the
EX-1

We'll have a test chart provided by Broadcast Rentals, so we can put
the EX-1 on the scopes, and see how it performs!

We'll also be giving away a copy of Roxio Toast 9 Titanium, the
essential utility for optical media!

The meeting starts at 6pm but don't expect dinner - there's at least 3
great restaurants at the corner. So, come early and grab a bite or plan
on a late dinner at Pei Wei, Zoe's Kitchen or My Florist Cafe.
