How To Record The Space Shuttle - 150db at 400ft.

A few months back Sennheiser USA was contacted about a need to record the latest NASA Space Shuttle launch in stereo - Dawn Birr suggested the MKH418, which worked out tremendously for him. NASA was so pleased with the outcome, he's been invited back to record the June 13 launch. Listen to the shuttle liftoff mp3 audio.

Chris called last week to follow up on the first shuttle launch, and he reported that the SPL level where the mic was stationed, about 400 feet from the launch pad, neared 150 dB. Chris said the audio he got, from his perspective, was stunning.

Great story but the payoff should be the link that will allow us to hear the results. Got one?
