Dear APA Member/Industry Professional:

As you know, APA has spearheaded the effort to obtain a written report of the MOPIC (Motion Picture Tax Incentive Program) by hiring an independent review firm. We hope that having such a report will convince our legislature NOT to ax the existing program, which is currently up for elimination in both the House and Senate and by both the Republican and Democratic parties.

APA “Kickoff” Event

Purpose: The Purpose of the meeting is to let everyone know about ESI, their mission, and to emphasize the importance of letters, phone calls etc to our legislators, Senators and Governor regarding the impact of our industry in our lives, the communities’ lives, etc.

NOTE: This is NOT a meeting about the Incentive Program itself or the problems with how the existing program is being administered. ESI is NOT connected to Commerce or any government agency. It is an independent review firm seeking info to help it prepare the report. Please keep this in mind if you can attend.

Preparation of Questions: Time will be given for an informal Q&A following the guest presentations. If you have any questions about what YOU CAN DO to help or what we hope to accomplish by having this review, please submit your questions IN WRITING when you arrive.
