Avid® is committed to providing you with the best experience possible through its products, and has just released a new update for AirSpeed® Multi Stream server.

This update includes: 720p 35 and 50 Mbps support for both 50 and 59.94 frame rates Studio (redundant playout server configuration) support for HD formats International Character Set (ICS) support.

This is a free software upgrade for customers with a current Avid Support contract. Note that a new operating system is required for the AirSpeed Multi Stream v1.1 upgrade and we therefore recommend an Avid-trained technician perform the installation. To obtain the upgrade and arrange for installation, please contact your Avid sales representative.

Notes: AirSpeed Multi Stream v1.1 is compatible with iNEWS Command 2.0 and 2.1, however some new iNEWS Command features require both AirSpeed Multi Stream and Command to run the latest releases.
Studio support for HD requires AirSpeed Multi Stream v1.1 and updates to the Avid editor and Interplay Transfer that are planned for availability by the end of June 2009.
